Privacy Policy

Magellan is built by Accelerynt, Inc. This policy explains what data Magellan handles, where it goes, and what we don't do.

What stays on your device

Most of your data never leaves your phone.

• Health data (Apple HealthKit) is read on-device to personalize coaching. It is never transmitted to any server.
• Calendar and reminders (Apple EventKit) are read and written on-device only.
• Contacts are accessed on-device only when you reference them.
• Voice processing — speech recognition (WhisperKit) and text-to-speech (Apple AVSpeechSynthesizer) run entirely on your device. No audio is transmitted.
• Your personal data (goals, coaching history, preferences) is stored in your private iCloud account via Apple CloudKit. This data is owned by you and protected by your Apple ID. We cannot access it.

What we send to process your requests

When you interact with Magellan, your conversation — including text you type, voice transcriptions, and any photos you attach — is sent to Anthropic's API to generate a response. This data passes through a proxy server operated by Accelerynt on Cloudflare.

• Anthropic processes this data under their privacy policy with zero data retention on API requests.
• Our proxy server does not store conversation content. It routes requests and returns responses.
• Photos are processed in the same request and are not stored on our infrastructure.

What we collect about usage

We collect anonymous session telemetry to improve the app. This includes:

• Session timestamps and duration
• Which AI model was used
• Whether voice mode was active
• Number of goal-related writes per session

Telemetry does not include conversation content, names, health data, or any information that identifies you personally. This data is stored in a Cloudflare D1 database operated by Accelerynt.

What we don't do

• We don't sell or share your data with advertisers or data brokers.
• We don't use third-party analytics or tracking SDKs.
• We don't track you across apps or websites.
• We don't create advertising profiles.
• We don't require you to create an account — your Apple ID is your identity.

Apple HealthKit

Magellan reads HealthKit data (such as workouts, steps, and sleep) solely to personalize your coaching experience. This data is processed on your device and is never sent to any external server, including ours. We do not store, share, or use HealthKit data for advertising or marketing purposes.

Children's privacy

Magellan is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we'll update this page and the effective date above.
